Brenda Broadnax
MS, LPC – Therapist
Brenda Broadnax is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Mid Cities Psychiatry, accredited in both Texas and Virginia. She holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and began her clinical career as a Day Treatment Counselor in Virginia’s public school system, where she worked with students facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
Brenda has worked across multiple settings, including private practice, inpatient care, residential programs, community services, and outpatient clinics. She has supported individuals and families dealing with a range of concerns, including Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Intellectual Disabilities, Domestic Violence, and other complex conditions.
Brenda’s therapeutic style is collaborative and respectful, focused on creating a safe, non-judgmental space for personal growth. Brenda uses a personalized, integrative approach that includes Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy DBT, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Reality Therapy, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and other person-centered techniques to meet each client’s unique needs.
