eVox (Cognitive Test For Dementia)

What is an evox test?

What is an evox test?

The eVox test is a non-invasive and research-based examination of your brain functioning and cognition. It utilizes electroencephalography (EEG) and event-related potentials (ERPs) to record your brain’s electrical activity. eVox testing records any deviations from normal brain function, which are already fed into the standard database. This helps your doctor make an accurate assessment of your cognitive health.

New York-based Evoke Neuroscience built the eVox test especially to identify early brain changes tied to dementia. Dementia is affecting approximately 5.8 million people in the US, as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention CDC survey. Dementia, previously known as a disease of the elderly, is now found to impact people as young as 30 years. eVox test also guides us to find other cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, or Huntington’s chorea.

We at Mid Cities Psychiatry provide the best eVox cognitive test for dementia in Euless and bring proven therapy options to patients through our comprehensive mental health care strategy.

Why is eVox testing important?

Researchers are, unfortunately, unable to discover the exact cure for dementia to date. Several studies show that the brain changes leading to dementia start even decades before the full-blown cognitive decline. eVox testing helps in the early detection of brain changes and lets you have early interventions that slow down the disease and enhance your brain health.

Mid Cities Psychiatry offers you a reliable evox test in Euless that provides qualitative analysis of your mental health. Our skilled clinicians use the evox scan to create complete reports that detail how your brain function is affected by early changes related to dementia.

What happens during evox testing?

The procedure of the eVox test is simple and takes from 30 to 90 minutes. You’ll be seated comfortably and asked to wear a head cap resembling a swimming cap, which contains a QEEG device (qualitative electroencephalogram) that detects electrical signals in your brain.

You’re then directed to perform small tasks related to memory, word recognition, or attention-based activities on a computer. While you complete these tasks, your heart and brain activity will be recorded through QEEG.

This is a completely non-invasive procedure, and you can drive yourself home afterwards. We get your test results prepared in as little as 24 hours, though it can take a while in some cases. You can receive your test reports at your next appointment.

I have been a patient for two years. Every staff member has been outstanding. Amanda Bell is a blessing. She is compassionate, and sincere, listens intently and is always able to calm me and help me focus and get the most from my treatments. Dr Kazi has been available whenever I need help. She is on top of my care and aggressively monitors my progress. I came to her suffering major depression and overall a mess. My mental health has substantially improved under her care and she is continuing to help me reach and maintain even higher levels of health. The office does have strict policies but everything is clear and patients are well informed at all times. The guidelines are appropriate and reasonable. I highly recommend this mental health clinic

I have had amazing experiences with this business, both on the medical and business side. Any issues I've experienced with billing have been handled gracefully and with patience; the staff are very easy to talk to and are understanding. I LOVE PA Hofer; she (and other staff) are always very quick to answer online Portal questions, are very flexible with visits, understand when it comes to medication costs/changes, and go the extra step when it comes to evidence-based practice.

I've been taking my mom to Dr. Kazi for the past 17 months and we still go. She is an amazing physician and her staff is very warm and welcoming. She has helped my mom when mom needed her the most. If it was not for Dr. Kazi's, I don't know what would have happened to my mom. I am so grateful to her. The bonus is her staff is awesome. Very response to emails and phone calls. Amanda is amazing!! I can't thank Dr. Kazi enough!!
